I have experience shooting thousands of rounds of surplus, mostly Czech and Romanian I think as well as S&B and PRVI through a few TT-33's. The commercial ammo felt similar to the surplus. Hardly a scientific measurement but it is the best I can offer.
I have worked up my own loads using PowerPistol and wheel weight bullets as well as Hornady hollow points. Some of my own loads are shall we say 'very stout', definitely hotter than the surplus ammo. The Tok's handled them no problem. I would not try those in a CZ52 however.
