Hi, I am looking at getting myself a a 375 and I am wondering if anybody has one of the Zastava Mauser in the 375 H and H and are they built on a true magnum length action or is it a standard length modified to fit the 375? Also wondering if they feed reliably with the long 375 cartridges and any other general impressions of these like how does the stock handle the recoil of the magnum? The other option I'm considering is a Ruger 375.

the stock is not that bad to soak up recoil but the recoil pad are a little on the hard side ...

feeding will certainly depend on the seating of the bullet and the kind like for most of rifles.

if you want a full lenght mauser look alike version then only the cz550 will provide it.

I have a Zastava Full Stock 375 H&H Magnum re-barreled to 416 Rem. Mag. Magazine length is approximately 88mm. No issues at all with it.

Interesting that the Zastava 375 action has the same dimensions as my Zastava 7x57 action.

Imho i've handled the CZ and found it big heavy and kind of like a boat orr compared to the Zastava. The LOP on the Zastava was a little long for me. so I cut off 3/4" and reinstalled the Zastava recoil pad. (for the price of the gun you can modify it to fit your personnel needs. The length of the magazine is 3 3/4", here is a picture of mine if you have one in 3006 or something to compare it too, you will be able to see how much material has been removed from the action to accommodate the 375hh cartridge.

I have Zastava in 9.3x62 great rifle to carry not unpleasant to shoot, has anyone had the mag. floor plate open up on recoil. Mine did it twice now it is taped shut. Also it will not feed 286gn RN bullets PVC ? Feeds pointed like butter.

I have a rem 798 safari in 375 ( a lamenated, xtra grain stock). Shoots well, very nicely blued, more tool marks than the usual m77 etc, but overall a nice gun.

I have 458 in one and really like and have no issues with it mechanically. My wood stock started to show a hairline crack in it so I bought a b&c stock. If your going to stay with wood stock maybe be good to install a rear cross bolt in it similar to the cz or Winchester

Also have a 458 Win. Mag. Remington 798 (/ LKM70) which has a laminate stock and dual cross bolts. No issues.

When I got my 375 H&H mag. Zastava LKM70 re-barreled to 416 RM I also got it properly fiberglass bedded to prevent the stock from splitting under recoil.

I have a Zastava 7x64 & Interarms 7x57. They are good solid robust actions. Granted they are a bit rough around the edges but that can be remedied. They do shoot quite well though!
I'm considering taking a Zastava 375H&H an turning it into a 358STA.

Thanks! My 7x57 Zastava groups real good with 175gr SBT Sierra GameKing's and Reloder22. Consistently sub-inch at 100 meters off the bench.
