I try to decide between these two for a cheap 9 mm.
What do you guys think?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you and best regards!

I have a NP22 and i enjoy it ,not in the class as my Beretta 92fs Inox
but a fun shooter

Cheap one?

The NP22 or NZ85B Both are big, but the NP22 has a slightly bigger grip. I have an NZ85, it is perfect in every way, including the trigger; I have just ordered a NP58 to try .40. The Zastava M70 (I had a M58) would not be my first choice if I wanted to feel good about how I shoot. Of the two you listed, the NP22. If you just want an all steel gun for "schitz und giggles"; get the M70.

Buy both! Cheap enough to do so.lol. In all seriousness, the m70a because they are a little more difficult to find. Newer imports has that ugly safety, older example are more true to the Tokerav design.

Np22 are everywhere. The fit and finish is a level below the m70a. However the ergos are much better. The m70a is kinda a no thrills type of pistol and much thinner and not as comfortable in the hand. I know people who will not buy one because of how it feels in the hand and the way it looks. There are slip on grips and regardless of how it looks, the Tokerav is distinctive and so, so iconic.

If I were to do it again, I would still buy the m70a first! When I bought mine, it was $250 but I see that the prices has gone up recently but then again, I bought my m305 around the same time and it was only $450.lol

I think I will go with the Norinco (NP 22 or NZ 85). I just need something cheap that can take some abuse.
I might get a Tokarev in 7.62x25, but the lead core ammo it’s hard to find

Gonna need a little more budget for a Canik...but it’s worth the extra..great shooting pistol at that price point...

I would go with the NP22 over the M70a, my Zastava is a foot low at 20 yards . I can live with the intermittent slide hold open and the circlip popping off , but the sighting problems put a damper on the gun. May try a rear sight if I can match one up.

I love my NZ 85; solid, tight. but you will need to check clearance between the slide and the front of the frame; both my NZ85 and my Norinco 1911 required a bit of grinding and polishing inside the frame so they would not put drag marks on the slide. Easy enough done. Clearances on both these guns are tight and triggers are good to great after a couple hundred rounds. Everyone I know who has an NP22 is happy with them too; I have not fired one, but have a NP58 on it's way, and will be posting a review of it, and of what tuning I do on it.

I have an np22, I'm more of a revolver guy so any pistol is just ok.. Lol however the np22 has an ok trigger and the wife has put around 1500rnds through it and has never had an issue, except for some reloads that were a little under powered
