Zastava M70 parts compatibility with mauser aftermarket?

hello,

i imagine some others will chime in.

zastava M70 are commercial Mauser action like the FN.

zastava M98 are more a mauser 98.

both are different models for sure

I just replaced an extractor with a military M98 on my 7x57 M70. All my K98 bolts will fit it, and the M70 will fit my K98's. They are pretty close, but due to lots of hand fitting in the manufacturing some parts may require a bit of fitting.
Stocks should be fine, some after market triggers advise not to use them in these rifles.
What do you want to install?

Parts won't be an issue, I'm sure 99% of it is swap in with any K98 parts, plus things like the the trigger guard/mag housing is built like a tank and unless you take a hammer to it won't break.
Now the fit and finish is really really good, but they are Yugo smooth actions, not German/Swede smooth. Trigger is excellent once adjusted, out of the box nothing to brag about. My extractor was useless out of the box, looked like it was a Magnum extractor, easy fix though as a 98 fit right on.
I think this is the platform I'll finally get to build a 7.5x55 on....just have to figure out the best OEM cartridge to start with....probably .308 as it would be the least amount of work.

yes Rhino62,

it was part of a trade when Yugoslavia was opening to the western world.

they were able to create tools for the left hand actions onsite.

the tooling or most of it was destroyed in the last wars but with the help of Remington they are back.

and this is good for us.

but i think the price will go up on the next batch coming to us.
