If you want a more positive ejection from a standard 98 type Mauser action, all you need do it to grind/file the bolt stop back 1/32" - 1/16" and work the action firmly. This is extremely easy and quick to do as the bolt stop is not hardened. It will have no other/adverse effect on the action at all.
Ejector looks like this. Upon extraction and ejection, the LHS bolt lug (on a RH rifle) contacts the stop which prevents the bolt from being removed from the action.
so that is the area that should be ground thiner to allow the bolt to travel further back? Technically, with enough bolt pulls, ejection should get better since the bolt stop is not harden and over time will be "squashed", so to speak. Need to take this apart and see what the whole thing looks like.

How is your extractor tension? If you take the bolt out and slide a round under the extractor claw, it should be held pretty firmly against the bolt face.
The extractor is also a key component in proper ejection, as it needs to provide a well-defined pivot point for the case rim.
