Zastava M70

I have broken a few extractors my self and as Beavermeat said if you load from the mag. you will not have this problem. So between myself and Boomer the new recruits will be taught to load from the mag. (Boomer can be a very convincing teacher).

Cause ya never know when they can get a little pissy.

Dang it der 'looky ... now lookaseehere what'cha gone 'n done got me sunk L. testicular deep inta?.
Classic one on one thread hyjack'n, wit dat Really Big Toothed Critter slay'n, but ever so eloquently verbose, bifeedual master of the "stuff a bit more powder in there 'n see wha'll app'n" discipline of traditional Can. gunnutery.

Solo?, nahh... Too much Not Worthy at the moment.
Got me back outta the frigid bush just now ... need some rye whickee 'n shuteye.

Some good info guys and I thank you one and all. Perhaps I've been very lucky over the years and that being so,:)not too late for me to change habits:redface:.

Info update:
:)In preparation to start cranking out some initial ammo, I made up a dummy cartridge and recorded measurements to assist in determining what my C.O.A.L. 'should' be with my present bullet component. I was going to check the the rifling rate of twist but sent an inquiry to Zastava instead. I had 'guessed' at possibly 1-10" but their reply received this morning indicating 1-14" kinda' caught me by suprise. My 'concerns' were set easy by replys from Baribal and Kevan, assuring me this is the norm.;)Time to reload:).

1-14 is the norm in Europe for the 9.3x62 at least for mot of the modern rifles ... why 1-10 : never heard about it ...

1-10" was a;) 'guesstimate' on my part. Doing some prep in my 1st time reloading for this calibre, my guess was probably influenced by what was noted to be the rifling twist of the barrels used in the data of three reloading manuals I checked.
  • Speer - Custom Remington model 700 - 1-10"
  • Barnes - PacNor barrel - 1-12"
  • Nosler - Lothar Walther barrel - 1-10"

John really interesting about the US ones if you compare with the European like Isny, Krupp, Sako or Zastava etc ...
