Zastava m98 left handed in 6.5x55. Got one but what about bases and polishing?

So finally figured what the hell and purchased a Zastava M98 left handed 6.5x55 from Gagnon. $150 cheaper than another company and left handed and in 6.5x55so figured what the hell. So what bases are you guys using on these guns and I read numerous threads about this gun and wondering about polishing the action. What does this mean? What sand paper would I use? First M98 so would like to make this gun a shooter.

If the action is rough or notchy it can polished with an abrasive paste smeared on the bolt (not the locking lugs)and cycled until it operates
smoothly.

im talking about Weaver bases.

I tried to pick up a left handed one in 9.3x62 at a gun show from Tradex with that price difference in mind and they wouldn't even budge $50 - hence they lost that sale.
