Zastava Z5 Scope?

Good Day,

I find myself with an extra scope these days (a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40) and am considering mounting it on my Zastava Z5 .22LR to replace a mickey mouse tasco pellet rifle scope I have used until now.

Is there any issues with mounting a centrefire 3-9x40 scope on a .22? To me it sounds like a bit overkill (ie. I don't ever see myself using more than 4 or 5x magnification) but hey, that's what the variable magnification is for right?

Any recommendations on rings? The Z5 has a dovetail base machined into the receiver.

Not overkill at all. Any 11mm med rings will do. I like Warne s 7.3 alot.

Won't be ideal for target type accuracy at 50+/- yards due to the 100 yard paralax.
