Was out at the gun shop today and had my hands on a Zastava Z98 Bolt-Action in 6.5X55 Swedish.

It was a beauty. Gorgeous wood stock and a smooth Mauser style bolt action...

I've never fired a rifle in 6.5x55 but i've heard its a nice calibre...

anyone have any experience with this rifle? I've been beating myself up all day for not buying it... might be making the trip back to the shop next week.

Ive got one in .308. It will do moa with quality ammo. I was gunna use it as my beater hunting rifle but I like it to much to think of abusing it. Well worth the dollars in my opinion

I just ordered a left hand in 6.5x55 from Tradeex. I was hoping to get it today, I guess I'll have to wait until Monday now. It is going to be a long 2 days.

I have no personal experience with Zastava rifles but I absolutely love the 6.5X55 caliber.Tradex has a Zastava 6.5X55 on their site right now that has an absolutely gorgeous stock. If it shoots as well as it looks it is a definite keeper. It would be nice to hear from some owners of these rifles as to their performance at the range.

The one I was looking at was a lefty as well, it was $699... they had a RH at $649...... both prices are better than I saw on Trade ex. One thing that I really liked was that it was light but also the weight seemed really evenly distributed. Just a really nice gun.... crap.. this is going to be an expensive week,
