ZBROJOVKA BRNO Mauser 7x57

S K there looks to be some light pitting around the reciever, any on the barrel? Fine looking piece of wood. I would think that $600.00 might be a little high with that bolt welding job.FS

Boys that would be a 22H, 22 being the shorter carbine barrel.

Too bad the bolt is modified except that the scope can be lower. That is the ultimate first gun for my kid! Simplicity with the single trigger as well.

Looks like it may have seen some good service. Hard to tell by the pics to give a real good value.

Edit: Also, some of the early ZG47's came out with a lightweight stock (same as the 21H) withthe exception for the bolt being round and inletted into the stock for scope clearance.

What makes you so sure it is welded and not a different model?

Because Brno has never done such a lousy job on any of their sporting arms.

While it does look incorrect it could be simply a bad pic. They did come with a round bolt handle that could have been bubba'd and the mix it with years of neglect with gun oil that stains and "varnishes" on the steel and it looks like a worse situation than it really is.

Without holding it one could say someone took a file to the handle and violated that sweet little rig.:runaway:

Noel, the round handle Brno's that we are aware of were all late production Model 21's and the round bolt handle is exactly the same as on the ZG 47, which suggests that the factory used new model bolt handles, however I cannot for the world of me remember if the bolts had oblong gas ports (as in Model 21) or round gas ports (as in ZG 47), regardless, the dove-tailed round bolt handled Model 21 is much sought after, I personally would sell (someone I do not know)'s soul for one.

I'm sorry to say the original owner told me a so called smith bent and welded the bolt. Likely put a bolt on it from a different gun UGLY JOB!

Stepnout, all is not lost, with a wee bit of tender, loving care(new bolt handle) that rifle would most definitely be something that you would be pleased to leave your great-grand child, and whilst it remained in your possession it would provide years of snob appeal(What spider, don't you have one ?)

Do you have any pics of this rare "round dove tailed handle"? I've not heard of these before!:)

I am sorry, I was not aware that you were dyslexic, or do you feel that I have challenged you in some way.
(dove-tailed, round bolt handled Model 21), there you go, I have added the comma.
If you were trying to be funny I apologize, if you are trying to assert your superiority then piss of.
