I have a 3-9 Zeiss Conquest on my Sako .243 Finnlight. It is mounted in Sako extra-lo opti-loc rings on Sako bases (as shown in photo).

Problem is I would like to have this scope mounted lower than it is. The objective now is .270" above the barrel.

Obviously I can't go lower with Sako parts and I would like to keep the mounts stainless (like the rifle and the scope) and use rings with inserts like the opti-locs to protect the scope tube.

Any ideas if there are any mounts out there that would solve this problem?

Sako ringmounts. They are one piece, no extra base.

Leupold makes "silver" rings for sako aswell but they are plated not stainless, and don't use the inserts.

I agree the Sako ringmounts would solve the problem if I can find some the correct height in stainless. From what I can find on the net these seem to be a scarce commodity and I can't find any height information anywhere. I found a listing that said they are made in stainless in extra low, low, medium etc. but no one seems to have them.

Anyone know who might have these in Canada and where I could get some information on the various heights?

I have only seen them in "low". Stoeger has them in stock so if you don't want to deal direct you can have your lgs order them on your behalf.
