Zeiss Conquest scope opinions?

Whats the target turret option cost? I was originally planning on just getting a .270 and zeroing for 200 yards and leaving it.

I dont have enough hunting experience to take much longer shots yet.

$50US per knob plus $15 return shipping.

But they're only useful for hunting after spending a lot of hours and dollars practicing with them first...

Great glass for sure, the only thing I don't care for is the oversize rubber 'eyebrow protector' on the eyepiece...Makes it tough to get a butler creek flip cap to fit properly...Say, has anyone tried to remove the rubber piece??

I use Butler Creeks on all of my scopes, and I haven't had a problem with Conquests. The Diavari is a little more awkward, because the ring is tapered so much, that unless it is perfectly aligned,it wants to slip past the shoulder on the Butler Creek cover.

What # eyepiece (Butler) do you use on your conquests?? thanks

I sold both rifles that the Conquests were on,so I don't have one on hand right now.I size the covers to be very snug on the rubber ring, and I don't worry about the fit on the metal part of the scope.I have actually shortened some covers,so that they barely overlap the rubber ring.
