Plainsight Solutions had pretty good prices when I was in the market for one a month or two ago. You can find him in the optics specialists section.
 
Plainsight Solutions has great prices, as does Prophet River, and Bashaw Sports in Alberta has just dropped their prices on Conquests, so they are as competitive as anyone.
 
I wandered around Winnipeg and 499 was the price here. WSS said they could give me a 20 dollar card to save a few bucks. I looked through quiet a few scopes and Zeiss took 1st place through my eyes.

I just checked out their site. A 6.5x20 x 50 is 999.00 compared to 1199. at WSS. If 30.00 is the only surcharge then its not a bad deal but UPS usualy charge a brokers fee on top. Did you pay duty? or just the 30. and thats it? Warantee might be a pain but hey, it's a Zeiss. They don't come with problems. Please fill us in on any extra charges. Thanks.

On their web site it says they ship USPS Global Express, which means there isn't an automatic brokerage fee as with UPS. If it's a US made scope, you pay tax and a small handling fee if Canada Customs checks the declared value. Sometimes items slip through without added fees of any sort.

There are Canadian dealers that will beat that price, and some are CGN sponsors. I recently purchased a 6.5-20x50 Conquest for $999 including GST from a site sponsor.

I don't think their warranty is too bad...know a guy who called them when he was having issues with his zeiss, they told him to send it in and he had a new one at his door before he even shipped the old one away.
 
when i was in the market for a scope i looked at the conquest. great scope. IMO my weaver K6 is just as bright and clear. last year zeiss had a sale on the 3-9x40 for 399.00 across northamerica. i went to wholesalesports and they claimed no. i called zeiss in the store and they said yes their is a sale on the 3-8x40 i handed my cell phone to the manager. he still would not honner their sale. plut all the local shops i called never heard of this "sale" that was plastered across the zeiss web site. so i privately bought a K6 and very happy.

just a story......they are still great scopes

Which sponsor? I have been looking to buy a leupold mark 4 4.5-14x40, and in the states they are 700, in Canada the price magically jumps to 1100 plus tax... which I dislike. So i have been trying to get a place to ship from the states, but it seems like the places that will (eurooptics, 4scopes) dont carry them.
 
I found that with a conquest I had poor eye relief, any side to side movement would eliminate my site picture. The duralyt is a lot better but for the money there are better scopes out there.
