Zeiss Conquest

If you buy Leupold you're support the "Korth group" business plan of captive import...there has been a few threads about their warranty practices lately.
As good as leupold may or may not be they are not on my radar screen as long as Leupold supports this warranty practice.
cheers

Thats enough said,to change what I see when I look through my leupolds. You nor I will change what they do with their business practices.

I had a chat a while back with the feller at 4Scopes.
He reasured me that they do ship north of the border quite
frequently.
They know which scopes will draw the line on shipping.
Some are considered sniper optics.
This is a great site to at least reference our prices up here.
Ya I know, but still, ya gotta do your home work or due diligence.
And kudos to the site sponsors that will match or try and match
some of these down south kerch$ngs.

I just checked out their site. A 6.5x20 x 50 is 999.00 compared to 1199. at WSS. If 30.00 is the only surcharge then its not a bad deal but UPS usualy charge a brokers fee on top. Did you pay duty? or just the 30. and thats it? Warantee might be a pain but hey, it's a Zeiss. They don't come with problems. Please fill us in on any extra charges. Thanks.

UPS will rape you with charges. I bet it would be at least $100 in brokerage fees on a $1000, probably more. Never get anything shipped by those crooks. Google UPS brokerage fees and see the insanity.
On a side note, some Canadian dealers can match most if not all the 4scopes prices.

Cheers!!

There are Canadian dealers that will beat that price, and some are CGN sponsors. I recently purchased a 6.5-20x50 Conquest for $999 including GST from a site sponsor.

How do you like that Zeiss? Is it the target turret model? I've been studying for some time now one what scope I will purchase for a long distance target rifle, but want to be sure I have examined beyond the mainstream names. How does the Zeiss stack up to a similar Leopold mark 4 LR/T: I know the price difference is quite large and I have been unable to figure out aside from maybe greater adjustment range with the Leopold, to warrant the higher cost.
Aside from fitting a tapered base to allow for 1000meter shooting, do you find the Zeiss to have enough adjustment range?

The Conquests track very consistently, and unlike Leupold variables, the eye relief is almost constant throughout the magnification range.
