Zeiss Rimfire Scope 2.5-8

I like a light, fixed parallax scope on a Rimfire that gets used for carrying/hunting and not just for bench shooting.
Not too many options on the market.

Any side by side comparisons with similarly priced/purposed scopes - Particularly the Leupold VX freedom rimfires?

They’re both about the same weight (Leupold 3-9x40 version), with this being slightly more compact than the Leupold, though the Leupold has a 40mm obj.

I currently have a Burris droptine Rimfire and a Leupold vx freedom Rimfire. Both great scopes with decent reticles but the Leupold takes the trophy. I’d be interested how the Zeiss stacks up..
Yeah, absolutely. I use it on my carbon 10/22 for small game hunting, mostly grouse and rabbits. It's great. Lightweight, nice glass, usable reticle, no fishbowl effect, good magnification range for the application and small overall size / obj lens.

I have had VX Freedoms previously, and Burris Fulfield scopes, also good options. I think I prefer the Zeiss for this setup and application though. And I should note, I am a pretty big user of Leupold, I've got 4 or 5 right now (mostly VX5's, Mark 4's and a Mark 5) so I usually trend to Leupold. However, this Zeiss vs the Freedom I think the Zeiss is my choice for the foreseeable future.
