I did a search and it is apparent that both brands are great. Has anyone ever actually compared these two. I am looking at getting either

Zeiss Victory 10 X 25

or

Swaroski pocket model 10 X 25

It might be nitpicking but I thought I would ask given the huge amount of info around here.

I looked through the Zeiss model this fall and did some glassing and it was amazing. They blew away my Leupolds.

Swarovski's are more like $800 rather than $500 for the Zeiss.

Swaro's better glass, and they're waterproofed. If you look closely on the Zeiss Conquest 8x20s or 10X25s you will notice that A) they are made in Hungary and B) they are only weather resistant

Since you are already prepared to pay the big bucks. I would suggest you take a look at the Leica compacts too, wonderful optics. As of Zeiss, take a look at their victory line, conquest is their "cheap" line.

I have only tried them in 32mm and 42mm, I personally like the Leica best, followed by Zeiss. Swarovski does offer really sharp images but I personally don't like the green tint of the swarovski.

I run Zeiss 10x30 Conquests and the glass is extremely good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair of Zeiss binos if I needed them. The Victory ones should only be that much better.

I have Leica compacts and they definitely compare with both the Swaro's and Zeiss. I love mine,

I find the Conquests feel cheap compared to the others,

compare them all side by side, if you don't wear glasses the swaro will very likely be the clearest to your eyes. if you need corrective lenses then the Lieca's or Zeiss may very well be clearer than the Swaro's. The only way to find out is to try. this is true for 10 out of 10 guys I know who have tried it. the light is focused based on how the glass lenses are ground, and these three bino's are not all exactly the same. you have to look through them to tell the difference for your own eyes. Others opinions cannot help YOUR eyes.

Good advice but there is not a store within 300 km's that would carry all three to try. I have looked through the Zeiss Victory 10x25 and was blown away. However, I have heard the same as you stated, that the Swarovski's are even better especially since I have really good vision. The advice everyone has given is great! Thanks a ton.
