I would like to do some handloads with Zero 9mm 125 grn JHP-C bullets with Titegroup. The reloading recipes with Titegroup with bullets of similar weights vary greatly. Not sure why....

I will be shooting it in a Glock 34......if that matters....

Anyone doing this particular load? What was your recipe....

Tks for the feedback....

I shoot the 125gr JHP-C Zeros in 3 different 9mms. I've found 4.0gr of Titegroup to work best. Titegroup tends to be at it's most accurate I've observed when it's to the middle/middle-high end of the load spread.

Zero's are about the best kept secret going. I love their bullets. I shoot 45acp and the 125c's in 9mm. I would take them over xtp's any day, and when you have the choice of a true jacketed bullet for just a little more than plated, you can't beat that. Consistant supply is the only downside, but I just keep a standing order, so when they come in I know I get a few k

Ok.....I guess I started way too low....

Tried the following with the following results (I had loaded my rounds before seeing everyone`s feedback):

- Zero 9mm 125 grn JHP-C bullets with 2.8 grn of Titegroup = my Glock 34 would not cycle at all. Failure to feed every round.
- Zero 9mm 125 grn JHP-C bullets with 2.9 grn of Titegroup = my Glock 34 still would not cycle at all. Failure to feed every round.
- Zero 9mm 125 grn JHP-C bullets with 3.0 grn of Titegroup = Glock would cycle through most rounds. Some failure to feed.
- Zero 9mm 125 grn JHP-C bullets with 3.1 grn of Titegroup = Glock would cycle through all except 1 round out of 20.
- Zero 9mm 125 grn JHP-C bullets with 3.2 grn of Titegroup = Glock would cycle through all rounds.

Now i`m going to try 3.3 to 4.0 grn.

Thanks for the feedback.

It should probably go without saying but....

Don't exceed the max load recipe when working up.

Don't waste your time with the 3.3 to 3.9 loads. Go straight to 4.0 and be done, I know everyone will tell you to work up, every gun is different, etc.....but under their breath everyone is saying the universal load for virtually any 124/125gr bullet with Titegroup is 4.0 - 4.1 gr. That load will give you 133 - 135 power factor. You'll never fear going sub-minor at chrono, and your gun will cycle reliably.

This ^^

Best group I shot today was 4.o gr with a Hornady 125gr HAP, Hollow Action Point.
Just started loading up a bigger batch.
This was with a carbine mind you. 4.2 grs also looks promising.

Went to the range again with a new batch.....I experimented with loads of titegroup 3.2 grn to 4.0 grn. Above 3.7 was sweet spot. 4.0 was punchy. All safe loads my opinion. I had some pmc's with me that felt just as hot or even hotter than the 4.0's i loaded. I think i'm going to stick with 3.7 grn. See how that goes....

Sure is fun to experiment though when you load your own....

I pulled this from the Hodgdon site......

What really gets me is the spread in the load......from 2.8 grn to 4.4 grn for max. That`s quite the spread....
