Picked up my long backordered zero bullets from doubletap yesterday. They just came in, so he may actually have some left

Doubletap is a sponsor at the top of the page. Zero is a very high quality jacketed (not plated) bullet at an excellent price, and they aren't just fmj's, they also sell jhp's at about half the price of other jacketed bullets. I would take them over Hornady's any day. And the fact that he is in Brampton and I can just drive there and pick them up saving shipping costs, only makes it better

hi all
is the zero bullet good for HK P30L?
i read somewhere on the net that lead bullet is bad for HK, Sig & Glock with polygonal rifling pistols but some said it's ok.
anyone here has experienced with lead bullet on these pistols please chime in
thanks

The Zero bullets are jacketed, so really has nothing to do with lead in polygonal rifling.

You can shoot lead in polygonal rifling BUT you must also clean the leading out of the rifling fairly frequently or bad things can happen.

thanks Malice.
i still have about 500 lead bullets bought from The Bullet Barn, i can use them for my CZ75 but i'll buy Zero bullet for the HK.
Actually the Zero bullet is not much more expensive than lead from Bullet Barn. i'll switch to Zero.

I have both an HK P30-L and an HK45 and both love Zero Brand in both round nose and hollow point.

Hi Thump
You mind let me know what's best load for your P30L? I know it's personal like/feel, but still like to learn from others.
My other question is how the P30L handle the max load? For instant if the 125gr bullet using Win231 3.9 gr start & 4.4gr max. if I go max, will I have any problem?
Thanks

HK p30 is designed to take NATO rounds. Mine has constant stovepipes if I use the target loads I use in my 92fs

I'm using 125gr bullets with Titegroup. I got a killer deal on them I couldn't pass up.
I misplaced my load data book so as soon as I pull a few to weigh charges and re chronograph I'll let you know.
I think I know the load but I want to be sure before putting it out there.

EDITI found 2 different rounds both using Titegroup in my stash.
Zero Brand 125gr JHP-C COAL 1.125" CCI #500 SPP 4.0gr
Cam-Pro 147gr Plated RNFP COAL 1.100 CCI #500 SPP 3.2gr

My P30-L has over 7,000 rounds through it without a single hiccup using the above loads.
I don't count the squib as a hiccup since it was me and not the gun that didn't put any powder in the cartridge. I caught it so no damage.
