Zeroing a .308

50 and confirm at 200. You'll be 1" high at 100

picture a rainbow with a stright line (your sights) crossing at 50 and 200 with 100 being close to the top of the arch

I've found that centered at 25, (also saves walking !) will pretty much center you at 100 . Once @ 100 you should be good out to 300 with a 3" hold over , or put it two inch high at the hundred and hold dead out to the three hundred ! Has worked for me for to many years to remember with my Rem. 760 in 308 using Win. 180 gr. Silver tips .

100 yards is normal. any distance over 200, I'm using a range finder and DOPE, so I don't bother with any other zero distances.

Basically just make sure you understand the trajectory of the specific bullet at the specific velocity you are shooting.
