So im toying with the idea of adding a mag well to my g3 glock 21...and i Zev makes a nice one but they offer it in two different weights, heavy and light... im trying to decide which one to get... so which one would you get and why???

The glock in question... slide is getting sent off to get custom cut.

Heavy or medium weight. I would not go light weight. Also take a look at the Dawson magwells. I have both and it is a bit of a toss up but I think I like the Dawson a bit better. I also have an Agency Arms magwell and they are pretty good but a slimmer profile more designed for a carry gun (might work for you based if your location is correct).

Zev or Dawson if this is for IPSC/USPSA/3Gun/etc. vs Agency Arms for carry/maybe just plinking.

i have both dawson ice heavy and ZEV stainless heavy magwells on my standard guns.

the big mouth zev is a little heavier than the ice, but the ice comes with an insert which help at driving the mags in the funnel without '''hooking'' on the magwell lips.

i like both while the extra weight of the zev goes on my G22 instead of the 35. the 22 rocks quite a bit with major loads, the zev magwell help to tame the muzzle flip .

get the heavy versions -inserts , both are well made and nice to look at and put the weight where it's needed.
