ZF Identification - pre-WWI

I am reliably informed these were used very very early on in the trenches - Can anyone identify exactly pse?

MG1918, have you tried posting this on Gunboards and in the German Imperial forum on the War Relics web site? You might get help form American and European collectors there.

Fugawi thanks yes I have. Sadly limited response although one confirmation that these were definately taken into the trenches at the beginning of WWI and fitted to German service rifles. The Collector magazine did an article on them so some good news.
