i have a savage 110 3006 and want to up its usfulness(was my main hunting rifle now i got others) since i love ziess and like long range shooting was thinking about a ziess rapid z any thoughts on who used them i was thinking about a 4.5-14x44 so i could still have some low magnification for hunting

I have just purchased the 3-10 x 44 mm with the Z600 reticle. I haven’t mounted it yet but sure like what I see. You can check Zeiss web site to get more info on how the reticle works...
 
I have ordered a 800 for a 7mm. It is important to buy the scope that fits the rifle as some calibers seem to require different versions eg it said that the 800 is suited to the 7mm.

I inquired about this and was advised from Zeiss that you can enter all the info req’d as previously mentioned and it will calculate which one can work for what cartridge. I did a test for my 7 mm R.M. entering data and found out that the Z600 will work for my 7 mm R. M. ...
