There was no study.
Abstract, then. Yknow, the one written by researchers, not the tabloid?
Their headline was clickbait (par for the course) but the tabloid article itself makes it very clear that this was a "Maybe" deal. It does not say that the hunters died from CWD.
Considering Field and Stream ran pretty much the same headline, I can't blame The Daily. You'd think F&S knows better? lol
This is interesting.
The NDA published a response to the abstract on Thursday. “There are no details, no evidence, or facts presented, so there’s not much to go on. But the bottom line is, nothing has changed. We still don’t have evidence of transmission of CWD from deer to people. We didn’t before, and this doesn’t change that. Nothing changes about the advice for people regarding CWD and their health, either. If you hunt in a CWD zone, get your deer tested and wait for the results before you eat the venison.”
Gee, why would they advise that people should get their deer tested, and wait for the results before eating the venison? lol.
Probably because its quite likely the odds aren't 0%
