zone 56 - bad team hunting

I tagged out opening day in 56, seen lots of Deer, got a 4x0 Elk on Sept.15....My boy got his first Moose(13 years old)....on Oct.10th. We seen another Small Bull 2 days prior and Cow and Calve day before...

Congratulations to your boy! Please post some pics and then show them to him.

this was my first time in 56. We tried a few trails but because of the rain the access wasn't easy for my ATV so I actually had to walk.
I saw 3 bulls but it was 1 mile away from 56 so I could't shoot.
I didn't see any moose sign in the forest, just elk and whitetail. All the moose sign was outside the forest on posted land and unfortunately most of it is posted.

The population of Moose is declining...Since Manitoba's population has collapsed we see waaaay too many Manitoba plates in Eastern Sask.

We hunt in old and fresh cuts.

Was also drawn so definite advantage that way...

I did hear lots of shots from Farmland everyday.

I've been carrying a hockey stick (tagged out and pushing bush for the crew) lots. Worst was 6 days in a row of it.

Hard to find a good crew, never-mind a good hunting partner.
