Not sure how many of you have any experience with the zrts Gsg 1911 ultimate performance kit . I'm just installing the parts and there's no instructions . Wondering about the buffer it doesn't come with one so I m not sure if I'm supposed to use the factory buffer or no buffer ? Any help would be great .

Use the red buffer from Blue Line Solutions ("ZRTS GSG 1911 - .22 Buffer" in Accessories). I have the kit and that buffer on my GSG 1911 and never had any hiccups. It's an excellent product.

Is it an older version of the kit?

I bought my ZRTS kit from BL Solutions as well a couple months back and it didn't come with the red buffer either, I would have ordered it but they always seem to be out of stock at BL, so I contacted ZRTS at the time and they got back to me very quickly saying to reuse the stock GSG buffer for now. Its a great kit, a huge improvement over my stock GSG, so smooth to cycle now and much more accurate with an added bonus of no silly screw to remove when stripping it down. Enjoy!

Yeah the kit says everything included , yet no buffer . Ok I will put the stock one on what about the little ring over the buffer that goes into the spring ? Did you re use that too .

No idea I just bought it off BL solutions . Description said everything you need is included .

When I installed mine back in 2014, the kit required the re-use of the factory buffer and the ZRTS buffer was an add-on to the kit. I thought they had since included their own buffer, but I may be mistaken. In any case, it works fine with the factory buffer. (The barrel bushing was the beast for me during the install.)

I just used the buffer that came with my GSG. I love the kit. It made it much more reliable. I went thru 300rds last week w/o any issues. Just using federal bulk.

Yes, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread the newer ZRTS kits do include the new buffer however, I suspect BL Solutions has a supply of older stock that does not include the buffer that's why those of us who have ordered recently didn't get a buffer as we expected we would.

Well there ya go.

Tried it out last night seems to work good accept now it's shooting way to high . It already has the tallest front sight so I'll now have to buy new sights

Had the same issue with mine. Accurate, but shoots way too high even with the tallest front sight. I got the whole thing used so I'm just selling as is. Wasn't worth the hassle for me. It would be different if I bought the pistol new and then the ZRTS kit.

I wound up putting a Dawson front sight on it (Dawson 050-325 - ordered from Freedom Ventures). Its .300 tall x .100 wide. Calculated the height using Dawson's online calculator. https://dawsonprecision.com/sight-calculator/

I went the other way. I ordered a GSG 1911 Front and Rear Sight Kit from Blue Line Solutions together with a ZRTS kit. Their sight kit has a full metal rear sight that is adjustable for windage and five front sights of varying heights. The tallest front sight is perfect for working with a ZRTS kit. The price of the sight kit is still lower than a single Dawson front sight from Freedom Ventures and the bonus with the sight kit is an excellent rear sight, better than the original one that comes with the pistol.

Good thinking, it's my most common shooter so probably not a bad idea to have some spare parts for it.

Has anyone tried any of the other ZRTS or any of the other tuning parts for the GSG yet?
