I just installed my ZRTS ultimate lit and noticed there was no washer in kit to go in front of Buffer that came with it. Looked like original washer was too small and could end up going inside new larger spring. On clip I found on you tube seemed to install without washer in front of buffer. Is this correct? With new buffer is washer not needed?

I bought my ZRTS Performance Package from Blue Line Solutions and there was neither buffer nor washer in the package. I bought separately a red plastic (teflon?) buffer from Blue Line Solutions and it doesn't require any washer. If you bought the red buffer then you do not need a washer.

is the buffer the rubber piece that goes on the guide rod? Mine didn't come with one and I bought it from FOC. I just used the stock one and have not had any FTF on my Sig 1911-22 with CCI HV ammo.

Yes that rubber/plastic piece on the guide rod is a buffer. If the stock one works that's fine.

I bought mine from FOC and it came with a thick black buffer....yes it goes on the guide rod before spring. Original parts had small diameter washer but looks too small for larger diameter spring. I've seen kits that included replacement washer an seen you tube clip of one being installed without washer....curious I am. I have assembled without washer but have not used yet. Original washer looks like it would work into the spring. JMHO

That thick black buffer is an equivalent of the thick RED buffer from Blue Line Solutions. You don't need any "washer" if you mean that small diameter, round piece of plastic which originally sits on a buffer in the front of spring. In your case the "washer" is useless. I've been shooting my GSG 1911 for nearly two years with the ZRTS Performance Package and just a red, thick buffer without any problem whatsoever. It has already over 2,000 shots through the pipe. It eats any ammo brand, no hiccups, no nothing.

Mine was a Sig 1911 22 LR and original washer was small diameter but thick in front of clear type plastic buffer
