as we cant carry them I see no value to the shorter barrel length. I have a 5 and a 6.5 and I am very happy with both
I have a 4.2 629 and a 7.5 Redhawk. Love them both. If i was to have only, I'd probably go for a 5.5 inch Redhawk. There are some new ones available at the moment.
True. I know the 5" 629 is a very nice length and weight and a more comfortable shooter, but the 4.2 is a really nicely balanced gun. Perfect for lighter loads and 44special.
Frankly I kind of like all barrel lengths between about 3 and 9". Short ones can be a good test of abilities.
Does the 7.5 delivers smaller groups at 25 meters than the 4.2 ? You know the longer line of sight thingy.
I want a DA/SA revolver.
2 years from now it is gonna be the .500 s&w

Would you choose the nice length or the nicely balance gun ?
That is the info I want.

Why fool around? Go for the gold.

P.S. I shoot a 6" 70's vintage 29. Mostly 44spl. Shoots like a laser bream. Some times question why I bother with all the rest.
