2014 Western Canada F-Class Championships

Thanks Steve. everyone gets lucky from time to time. The ammo thing? I remember a few years ago shooting both during the same match, 308 F-TR first, then next relay 30-284 Open. Things were going well until 900m. Got in a hurry, switched rifles, ammo not switched. Fired one, no hit. Second one didn't fire. Jay says "you switch ammo?" I said "schidt". Oops. I now have a 308 lapua case with a severely rebated rim, 35 shoulder with a really short neck. A constant reminder. After that, one at a time. Good things to say about lapua brass and KS Arms action. Bad things to say about ol' guy.
Cheers

just a note to mention that the phone number for steve on the registration form is incorrect; nice young couple getting a lot of 'wrong number' calls, lee

Does my spotter have to shoot?

Everything you do in an individual match is on your own - no one is spotting for you, unless you can't get onto the target and then the shooters that are also on the same target can try and get you onto the paper. Also note that no electronics (other than a watch/stopwatch) are permitted in use on the firing line during a match - no cell phones, laptops, tablets, Kestrels, etc. Paper notes are permitted for your come-ups, etc.

22 km should be about 50 -60 minutes on the bike unless it is all uphill. Might take longer if you have to pull a kiddie carrier trailer full of F-open gear.

Hi All. Just an update on the Westerns. There is a large commitment of juniors coming which is fantastic. Please keep those entries coming in because we can handle comfortably about 98 shooters.

Just a question, I thought we always shot 3 up by tradition. That's what all the other Westerns were.....right?
Cheers, Glen

I think the issue isn't so much the shooters down 2 or 3, it's the rest of the on-deck types cavorting on the limited space at 600 and carts getting away down the hill, across the road, and on thier way to grandmothers house. Now that's going to be a giggle.
Cheers
