Who has the coolest SKS. Post pics.

This is my Chinese sks temporarily sitting in Russian furniture, I'm in the process of refinishing the Chinese stock. I has a 6x36 psop scope and dragunov side rail on it that I got from Corwin arms. So far I love it but I just had it mounted today so we will have to see how it shoots. :)

Crappy pictures I know sorry.

Nice setup. Did you use the rivets that came with the Molot rail or tap for machine screws? I think your going to like the POSP
on the sks. Can you still load with stripper clips?

It didn't come with rivets, I had a gunsmith drill and tap it. I can load it with stripper clips but its a tight fit and scratches the finish on the scope. 5 round clips work better but il have to see what I can do to make it a viable option( maybe bevel the right edge of the clips or widen the stripper clip notch).

OK, now that is a killer set-up! Very nice!

This is a Chinese military Type 56. The pistol grip has been moved forward to improve the rifle's balance

The trigger guard doubles as the magazine release

Very cool- is the rear peep sight screwed in backwards? I could've sworn mine went the other way around (on a former SKS)...

I was very unimpressed with the manufacturing quality of the Williams Peep Sight I received. The wedge that mounts the peep fit so poorly that tightening the bolt actually popped it loose from the base. I found that it fit better when I turned it around backward, but I still wound up epoxying the peep to the base. The elevation adjustment screw is inaccessible in this configuration, so I 90% zero'd it for elevation, locked it down with RED Locktite, and do my fine tuning with the front sight post.

That's my favourite right there. I was looking at stuff online about refinishing SKS, came across one that had worn blueing, realized it looks awesome that way. I like the look of it, maybe one day the paint will wear off one of my BBQ SKS' and it can be made to look like this.

The stock looks fantastic and I love the worn blueing- it looks great.
