Not every gun has a thread about filing feed ramps into your mag well to avoid it happening so much.
It would be good if we can pull off an event blowing up a t97 to see how it fails. I trust that it has a good safety design, but as the Russians like to say, "Trust. But verify."
I just wouldn't feel safe shooting a t97. Just my opinion!
Well, you know what they say about opinions.....
I'm not sure anyone should be filing anything, without lubing and breaking in, first. I have two, and I froglube'd and fired, nothing more. Out of all the mags I've tried, (eight different makers), only one wouldn't feed reliably. By reliably, I mean without a single hiccup.

Whereas after a few hundred rounds on three occasions mind wouldn't get through a single mag without a case separation, including the mag it came with.
I am not entirely convinced extreme cold weather wasn't a factor, outdoors in winter, but my other rifles perform flawlessly in the same cold weather.
We could run a raffle. Sell 200 tickets for 15 bucks. Buy three t97s. Blow a couple up on video at some kind of CGN t97 party and give the last rifle away to the winner of a draw?
Strange. By case separation, you mean that the base and primer broke free from the rest of the case?! Headspace issues plus sticky chamber? wacky. Maybe the barrel is set forward... get that fixed. Issues can happen with any new gun, google any maker, but that sounds un-good. Bad, in fact. Let North Silva take care of that.
How can we organize this ?
I am in lower mainland BC, Wolverines has the T-97 at $999, but I will try to contact CanAm and Wanstall as well to see if there might be willing to cooperate. We would probably also need to get the ACK from CGN admins.
In terms of operational requirement, we would need a reloader to cook overcharged / wrong powder rounds. We might be able to the test in Mission Rod & Gun with the proper security preparation, or on some crown land nearby. I have a couple of HD cam to be used for the shooting as well. A slow-mo / high fps camera might be nice as well.
edit: I am thinking of a torture test ala iraqveteran8888, ie. load to max spec, overcharge, fast burning powder, remote firing...
We should first figure out the form it's gonna take. A raffle is a nice idea, but require paperwork at least in BC (class D license). Ontario looks the same.Someone get permission from CGN admin then start a thread with info and such ?

Guns are scary. Pony dolls are safe.
I'm going to wear appropriate safety gear, employ common sense, and pay attention to what is happening while I shoot. Have fun with your dolls.
The receiver is actually aluminium.imagine a cheap 5mm plastic instead of steel lol china is bad mmmkay
Same with the kel-tec RFB, shooting the much more powerful 7.62x51. Though, I have not seen a single "In the event of a catastrophic failure with Kel-Tec RFB?" All in all, it is the case of all bullpup. The KSG is polymer too, as is the Tavor. Now imagine that being plastic and right next to your face!
How much part of your motorcycle are coming from China / Asia ?I ride motorcycles, a lot. They're inherently dangerous.
I don't ride with the cheapest, most poorly QC'd helmet and armour I can find.
Anyone and everyone is free to think I'm a total pansy. The opinions of others mean little to me.
