You are confusing the Trojan with the Spartan. They are not the same gun. The Trojan has a US built cast frame (the USPSA and Sentry are forged).
Here's a quote from the FAQ section of STI's website:
Q: Are STI pistols made in America?
A: The Spartans are built for STI (to STI specifications and utilizing STI internals) in the Philippines by the STI division of Armscorp. All of the rest of our pistols are built right here in Georgetown, TX.
buy a spartan, you wont regret it. Mine will cross 20 000 rounds this weekend and still shoots good enough for me to get second at today's match with it.

I concur. These are very much worth the money.
There's nothing at all wrong with a Trojan either.Would love one but they do get pricey Trojan is my high water mark
