Great paint job on the Socom. What are you securing the red dot with on the Mini?
burris ruger to weaver adaptor, works great have issues with the zero shot about 500 rounds with red dot mounted like this so far.
Not much to dislike there..!

At how much does such a setup weight in at approximately?
The vintage chassis I am using is longer and heavier than the modern day
SAGE EBR chassis, and there is a medium heavy barrel under the hand guard.
It weighs just under 13 pounds without optic, rings, mount, mag, ammo & bi-pod.

Ahh-Ha! There's one of the things I was looking for on this thread... a bayonet!
But that's the 22" barrel...
Anyone here with a 18.5" barrel have a bayonet?
Also, is the M6 the only bayonet for the M14? Any others? (ie: aftermarket, or... could an M9 be modified?)
Are there any new bayonets to be found? Or just used/surplus?

Yep... I'm seein' that. Been hunting around, can't find much... though, I did just find one rifle where the had the gas plug shortened by about ½", and now his bayonet just fits on.
edit: Found the link to the forum where some fixed the plug and got their M6 onto their 18.5" M14 -> here <- (lemme know if the 3 pics they have in the thread show up - I saved them)
Aside from the 18.5"... anyone know of any other bayonets for the 22"?
