Christensen Arms = lemon, stay away!

5 weeks and counting, I still don't have it...

Any chance of getting a new rifle? I mean there is obviously a huge problem the bolt catch was shaved off! Even if they get it to run I still wouldn't feel safe. I'd tell them the rifle is a safety hazard and you want a new rifle!

Going through Wanstalls' process, which in this case is having their smith fix my rifle for free, nothing else I can do, like people have said I should have been more intelligent and bought something else somewhere else. I'm the one to blame. Now I know...

I hear you're pissed Mike and rightly so, but don't put the blame on yourself as it most assuredly belongs to Christensen Arms and Wanstalls to make this right. At this level of business and by that I mean the selling of a high end quality product, customer satisfaction is number one. If giving you a complete refund due to you not being completely satisfied with the companies product for legitimate reasons (and in this case the reasons are in fact legitimate as you've stated a serious failure of the product) is the only course of action that will make you satisfied then it should be done. This should be done not only to satisfy you, but to maintain the standard of customer satisfaction to which every other potential customer will be expecting at this level of business. This is the only way to keep you as a potential customer and to deter future lost sales of C.A. products and also to deter lost business by Wanstall's by all those reading this as well. If Wanstall's will not stand behind what they sell then it bodes poorly for their future success, as those who are reading this will look upon their business poorly by your negative outcome due to no fault of your own. As was stated earlier trust in a firearm is second to none and that trust will likely never be possible to capture again due to the failure of this particular rifle, so a full refund is in fact necessary in this case.
Best of luck Mike, but I strongly recommend you do not take no for an answer and get a full refund. To a business like Christensen Arms or even Wanstall's one rifle even at the cost you've spent is nothing to the potential loss of future business from not maintaining customer satisfaction when the fault was not yours in the least.

Damn, sorry to hear about your bad luck. I bought a POF ar not too long ago and had some symptoms similar to yours. POF sent me a replacement bolt and firing pin and I had it within a week. You would expect CA would step up to the plate and get this resolved right away.

I know you've spoken with Wanstalls, but have you given CA a call to ask them what they're doing to expedite repairs?

I agree that it's not out of the realm of reason to demand a full refund.

Buy a KAC and never look back, your 3k can buy a SR15 with triple tap which is dream to shoot, it will run and run then you spray some forglub on the bolt and run some more. I bought a brand new one after shooting my friends kac and seeing the #### he puts his rifle through, like not cleaning for 2-3k rounds. Sadly I live in the stupid bantario, range membership is like year waiting list where I live.

Sorry, but buying a KAC or any other gun doesn't guarantee it's going to be perfect, lemons happen, way of life in the manufacturing business.

Bah whatever, I've given up on this rifle, kinda consider it like I took 3600 bucks to the casino and lost it all. But I did learn some lessons on what to buy and where to buy.

Mike don't give up just yet. that's you're hard earned money. Wanstalls is my favourite online retailer and they have always taken care of me. I would honestly call them and just see what's happening. In the end they probably won't just leave you with a 3k lemon. If they can't get it to work they should be replacing it and sending Christensen the bill.

Good luck I hope they (Christensen or wanstalls) make it right!

5 weeks to have the gun fixed by Wanstalls' gunsmith??

I'm seriously wondering about that.

Have you talked to Wanstalls recently? Maybe a polite "reminder" is needed.

No way in heaven or hell should you be waiting on repairs to a $3600 rifle.

Last time I talked to them was 2 weeks ago, they said their gunsmith had ordered parts for it.

Wonder away, it's the sad reality my friend, I feel once you hand your money away there is not much motivation to give a rats rectum about you anymore.

I'll call them again tomorrow to get an update on what's going on, it will be 6 weeks then.

So you gave wanstalls 3600 dollars, the rifle is a POS and they haven't issued you a refund yet?. Call the manufacturer and demand your money back. The retailer clearly doesn't care.

Demand a refund in full. then go buy a DD. you will be glad you did.

While dd will be perfectly reliable if mike is buying Christensen arms dd or bushmaster or any similar suggestions probably aren't in the tier he wants.

probably gonna have to be noveske, kac or beyond.
