Id be curious to know too,, but I doubt theres a way to figure that out.
Fixed it for you.Sorry for being Way off topic.
After Moncton shooting the rumours are: all semi auto will be banned or at least restricted. This might turn very fast. That is when we will know for sure how many of those we have (or use to have) in Canada. Sorry for being pessimistic.
Did you actually watch the news? Did you not see the conservative mp interviews leaning on mental health and shooting down more gun control?
Seriously, go tin foil in some other thread where you'll be on topic.
Sks are great rifles. CFO / RCMP may have a way of estimating the total number. There old WW2 rifle, current USA / CAN military and police have much better tech.
I do watch the news, but not only conservative mp interviews as you suggested. And I do see a spin the media is creating out of this and where it goes. BTW in one of those articles I remember they have provided approximate SKS statistics, as an example of how easy it to get, how many Canadians are armed with semi and how dangerous is that. It was close to 200000. Could be BS, though. Sorry, cannot find a link, and I run my browser in Private mode, so no history.
Yeah, I also did not believe rumors when was looking to buy CZ-858 a year ago. Lucky I did not buy 858 back then.
Looks like they give the official numbers only after something turns prohib. And there you go: now the Canada Border Services Agency estimates more than 8 700 CZ858 were imported in Canada. What a nice way to know the numbers!
