QC on norc m305's is just not there, and many will not run straight out of the box.
hey, just for kicks can I email you some pics of LRB QC ? and I really like LRB but I've never met a norinco rifle with issues like these.

OP, the piston is hitting your bayonet lug, undo gas lock, slide the gas system forward, rotate and remove the piston
when you are chambering a round are you pulling back oprod firmly and letting it slam home or are you riding it shut?
did you place the round in the chamber and then close bolt? this is VERY dangerous by the way.
always let it slam home, always feed from magazine.
if gas system is on, round is chambered by letting oprod fly home, and she still does what you are describing, don't mess around with it, send it back. my dealings with sfrc tell me they will look after you.
