AIA Enfield mags - Here in 2014 **ACCEPTING PRE-ORDERS**

The Enfield has an exception in the act, because there is a obscure and very rare enfield that was automatic. Course there are also millions of LE in Canada, most with 10 round mags. Therefore, without using the "V" word, the enfield was given a exception...a few others. For instance, the 5 shot semi rule does not apply to the M1 Garand which uses 8 round Stripper clips.

Because the Lee enfield has a exception written into the act. The RCMP could not make up the rules on this one beyond what is written in stone, if they could they would see these AIA magazines limited to 5.
Course there is no mention of "dual purpose magazine" in the act. Anyone with $50K they would like to light on fire, would undoubtably win. Then the RCMP would ignore the ruling anyways. Perhaps Cyclone is looking for something to do in his free time.

Heh... some people fantasize about winning the lottery to buy Ferraris and beach houses. People here want to win so they can put the RCMP in their place.

But on that note... I'm tired of the RCMP telling me what guns and accessories I can have. It should be the other way around. We should be telling the government to tell the RCMP what guns and mags we want to have...

I don't think anyone has to worry about the AIA owners. Mine came with a 10 round Magazine, and it is a bolt action. Out deer hunting with it, i find the 10 round magazine too long. Tried a 5 round magazine from another gun that has a very similar magazine but it would not work. Glad to be getting some magazines as it often takes many shots to get a deer.

End sarcasm

The Garand uses "enbloc" clips, not stripper clips. Stripper clips are designed to have the rounds stripped off of them to rapidly load a magazine- whether or not it is internal to the firearm. The enbloc for the Garand drops into the rifle complete.

You are correct that bolt mags do not have limits but you are incorrect in that these are enfield mags and the enfield is named in the exemption as "10 rounds" so I would expect them to be pinned to be compliant... so maybe you should read "THE LAW"....

What is it about "20 round capacity" that you didn't get. Bolt action mags don't need to be pinned, because they don't have capacity limits under the law.

I'd take 4.

I read it often.

I wasn't interpretting the law, I was offering up the possibility of how the rcmp are interpretting the law. What else would define a mag being pinned to ten? They certainly aren't pistol mags. And if they were M14 mags, they'd be limited to 5. The enfield clause is the only thing that could be used in such a way depending on how it is interpretted. Not saying I agree, just trying to decipher the angles.

Actually, these are AIA rifle mags. No Lee Enfield was ever made that fit these mags.
This is an Enfield variant however. Basically, the RCMP can interpret the wording of the law as it is written almost any way they want. If you disagree, it will cost you tens of thousands to dispute.

An update would be appreciated, but also as to "what capacity is coming in first", as the OP indicates it'll be the 'most popular', brought in first.
Any indication of #'s, now that the RCMP fiasco has overlaid itself onto the process..?

Need to put an order in, and I'd like to be in the first batch, so 10's, 20's or 25's- no matter to me, now. Just need to know which version is inbound, if any.
