For a while ... maybe.

Is "rerail" a word??? I mean it is logical... if there is a "derail" there should be an opportunity to "rerail," but right at this moment, I can't recall ever seeing or hearing it used...

That's the term they use when they replace bannisters for kripes sakes............jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh.........day rerail them.
Rehandrailing them is just tew elongating.

It's like I wrote in another thread about reloading, once you touch that gunpowder, it's all over and your life changes forever...............there is no cure, it's terminal. Look at H4831, there he is in his 80's and still addicted as ever, like I said the infection/addiction is terminal, with you till you die..........

Yep, that's right.
A fellow talked me out of a rifle, just mailed it to him yesterday, and he is in his mid eighties, while my favourite gunsmith is in his late eighties!

Potsy Up date:

Haven't heard back from Potsy but at coffee this morning I was told he and his son are away for a few days of R&R so I haven't heard from him. I'll give you a shout as soon as he's back.

Potsy Update :)#2,
Saw him this morning Douglas and he says to count him in. Initially he thought the 2015 date was a missprint.

Wouldn't the opposite of derail be rail?.... And why do people take meat out of the freezer and say they are dethawing it?.... Wouldn't that mean they are freezing it again?..... lol

Brad.............

rail..........to put something on rails initially

derail......to cause something to come off it's rails

rerail ......to put something back on it's rails after it has been derailed.

And you are correct to unthaw, does in fact mean to freeze, the same as there is no such word as irregardless.........."regardless ain't got ears" as my old English teacher would say.
