Keltec SU16-FX

Gary is a good man. Don't blame Gary for Vault or Kel-Tec mess ups.

Gary has done me well in the past. I bought a sub 2000 and had Major issues and waited a long time to get it back. Gary, made sure I was informed and stayed in touch. 5 months latter I got the Sub back. Gary was the guy who made it bearable.

I hate Kel-Tec and Vault but Gary is a Diamond in the rough.

Gary! Pound sand from New Brunswick!

Apparently some su16fx rifles have left Vault back to their owners, some were supposee to have shipped last Friday May 9th.

I was one of the first to return my rifle, but haven't seen any tracking or shipping information yet. Has anyone had a tracking/shipping confirmation sent to them?

I called Vault today and Gary could not tell me whether or not anything has heen shipped and whether or not my rifle has been shipped yet, because he is obviously busy trying to get all of these out. Busy or not he should know if at least some have already left Vault, and a tracking number is pretty crucial to ensure secure and smooth delivery. On friday I was told they will all be sent via Canada Post.

I see another cgn'er got his rifle back on the 8th, but from the looks of it he picked it up directly from Vault.

Some people really need the tracking info to ensure secure and smooth receiving of the shipment.

Pretty poor communication by Vault. Oh well, this will all be over soon!

The rebarreled Kel-Tec SU16FX rifles have been picked up and delivered here to our store. They will be shipped back to their owners starting tomorrow! Everybody should get their tracking numbers tomorrow afternoon for their SU16FX rifles :)

As there were some cancellations during Kel-Tec's replacement period, we have some available for sale. They will be on our site shortly.

Cheers,
Daniel

Could some of these potentially be in used condition?

So someone bought the rifle, used it, found out about the barrel issue, returned it to you or Vault, had their money refunded by you, and now the rebarreled rifle goes back to the retailer and sold in used condition?

This is my understanding - re a note another vendor made.

Finally got my rifle back.

Total wait time: 117 days.

Considering estimated wait time was a conservative estimate of 90 days, I'm not too upset. It was still very frustrating but I am glad its over.

my very first entry...
I have just received my SU-16FX, and like everyone else's (?) its chambered in the .223REM .
I would like to enquire if any owners have any issues after using .556Nato rounds ?
Or for that matter, Norinco's (.556nato/.223rem) ???? ammo !
Thanks.

I've put a few hundred rounds of Norinco .556 through mine. I haven't had any issues. Works fine.

Thanks, somethingspecial !
...I will probably run about 50 rounds of Remington's own .223rem first before switching over to the Norinco's.
It will probably be Monday before the sun re-appears for us in the Vancouver area (open air range)...I was going through some dry runs with a couple of Snap Caps, and found that the action would only remains open after the last round with the magazine in placed ? Or did I missed something ? At the shooting range where I go to, the rangers/range policy is an open action with magazine removed at ceasefire ! Interesting...breech plug with a safety flag at the chamber with action opened and magazine attached, or breech plug with safety flag with a closed action and magazine removed ?!

bought one from Calgary shooting center, put a few hundred rounds of the yellow Norinco 223/5.56 through her and she has been perfect. I couldn't be happier!! I had a reg su16 that I a wasn't happy with. The FX I was sent has a fantastic trigger (very smooth), sighted in with only a couple of rounds and so far has been flawless. Super light and a gas to shoot.
Love it

Are you saying you need the action to stay open even when the magazine is removed?

If so, there is a bolt hold-open button. It is the little black piece of metal at the rear of the magazine well. Just push up on it as you slowly let the bolt slide forward.
