Colt Canada rifles to the public?

Didn't you buy a Christiensen Arms when you could have had a half dozen other quality known brands? How many paid $700 for a POS Norc AR when a known brand could be had for a little over a grand? If people were savvy with their money we wouldn't have most of the sh*t we see for sale.

That's right, I learned my lesson. Now I'm being a whole lot wiser with ARs

Look at the inflated prices people spend on HK products, and custom "Assembled in Canada" ARs.
It is simple, Colt Canada will sell rifles and the lower they can keep their pricing the more they will sell.

I don't know why you keep saying they are a $1000. They were only a $1000 when they went on sale. The last ones I saw at Walmart in AZ were in the $1200 and up range. Walmart purchased 60,000 69XX series rifles. For the most part they are sold out. You probably won't see those prices again unless they purchase another 60,000 rifles.

I'm betting that most people buying these will be civilians. There's a lot more civies that want these than actual military.

You very well may be right, but when the LE/Mil. offer up 50,000+ (just a guesstimate) potential buyers and Colt Canada is claiming that many LE/Mil. members have been asking for their own C7/8 for years that market still has to count for something. Perhaps there are more willing buyers in the civilian world, but again the pricing may be the one factor to overcome for those who can't appreciate what only Colt Canada can offer in an AR. Things like what others have stated earlier; all Canadian made with parts from one Canadian source along with what some would argue as being one of the most well put together DI AR's available, not to mention the Canadian military pedigree that comes with them. An AR that doesn't have to go through customs for warranty/replacement parts has to count for something as well.
However on the flip side there may be many premium and proven AR's that fall into the C7/8 price range and perhaps even one or two popular brands that may be significantly under the pricing of these C7/8's that could cause some stale sales once the newness wears off if in fact Colt Canada prices there new to the civvy market AR to high.

Yeah for sure their will be many willing buyers no matter the cost, but for those less patriotic savvy spenders it will definitely be a tougher sell if a Noveske or Kac can be bought for little more. I'm even thinking many may pass only to buy a DD with quality optics/accessoris if the cost is similar (are you listening Colt Canada).

I pray that Colt Canada gets the pricing right so the decision to buy doesn't fall solely on ones ability to suck up their greed on an over priced piece of fine Canadian firepower.

The real question; Now that it makes sense (economically) for Colt Canada to "want" to see the AR-15 de-restricted in Canada, will we see Colt Canada "attempt" to help that cause in any way?

If a plane jane civy version of a C8 and C7 costs the same as a Noveske or KAC, that is going to be a pretty hard sell for many.

money is everything folks, thats why norincos are so popular and so praised on this forum and why the magical unicorn polar bear camelot assembled ar15s are going for more than 10% of their purchased price on the EE and never get sold.

Just in case they run out of bandwidth again, here are the pics from the Colt Canada website "products" section (saved to Imgur):
