First, they try to copy the Savage system in a bolt gun with the 783 (And blew it.), now Team
Greed is doing a direct rip-off of Cecil Epp's system of proper ignition for muzzle loaders with
the new Remmy 700 black powder rifle. These goofs are just gouging fer the gold no matter what.
Precision Rifle has been making & adapting super nice performing muzzle loaders here in Canada
for quite some time now and for those that don't know, they are definitely on top of their game
when it comes to bullet making, rifle building and adapting existing rifles for top performance.
I had one of the original 700 ML's in .54 caliber and it was a nice rifle that shot very well with the right
loads, but the use of standard caps as well as 209 primers (Which needed a whole different bolt)
made for a sooty mess to clean up in the action.
Precision Rifle's method uses primed pistol cases inserted into the breech plug to give positive ignition
and a tight gas seal to prevent such mess & it makes for far better accuracy & rain proof performance
when out in the bush or on the range. Combined with their Dead Center bullets, it's hard to beat.
Nice try Remlington, but as usual, you're so far behind, ya think yer first!
