First, they try to copy the Savage system in a bolt gun with the 783 (And blew it.), now Team
Greed is doing a direct rip-off of Cecil Epp's system of proper ignition for muzzle loaders with
the new Remmy 700 black powder rifle. These goofs are just gouging fer the gold no matter what.

Precision Rifle has been making & adapting super nice performing muzzle loaders here in Canada
for quite some time now and for those that don't know, they are definitely on top of their game
when it comes to bullet making, rifle building and adapting existing rifles for top performance.

I had one of the original 700 ML's in .54 caliber and it was a nice rifle that shot very well with the right
loads, but the use of standard caps as well as 209 primers (Which needed a whole different bolt)
made for a sooty mess to clean up in the action.

Precision Rifle's method uses primed pistol cases inserted into the breech plug to give positive ignition
and a tight gas seal to prevent such mess & it makes for far better accuracy & rain proof performance
when out in the bush or on the range. Combined with their Dead Center bullets, it's hard to beat.

Nice try Remlington, but as usual, you're so far behind, ya think yer first!:p

If you don't like Remington, don't buy their product!
No one has you in a hammerlock, forcing you to buy or use them.

But, It's a waste of time and trouble to try to convince us Remington users that all their products are no good.

Simply amazes me how some people must go out of their way at every opportunity to slag a product that they may not prefer.

Yeah right blah blah blah....get a life and quit writing about what you know NOT!!!!

I have an original Remington ml 700,white hots and 209 primers works like a charm. I had to change the bolt spring and nipple but such is life.Love it. Are you being paid by some one?

It's too bad there isn't one thread for all Remington complaints. One thread for all Savage complaints. One thread for all Ruger complaints, and so on, etc.

i love my 783 as much as my mark 5 its a well conceived and executed gun. i thought that before i bought it and wasnt mistaken. obviously the mark 5 is superior but i appreciate the 783. i kind of like the other remington products too although im not a particular remington fan i own 3 700s

My 2 remington products in the last couple years have been sub par at best. My newest 1911 r1 was so burred that it made a Chinese pistol look high end

My beef is about recent Remmy rip-off of other makers ideas and the corporate mentality they display when it comes to their recent offerings. How many former Marlin employees would agree that being absorbed by a mega-corp. was a nice thing?

As for my comments on the 783, I didn't mean that Remmy blew it in terms of accuracy. They goofed on the looks of the rifle. Savage goofed on the looks of the Axis and to a lesser extent, the Model 25 series. They shoot great though.

We all have favourite guns, cars, boats etc. I've owned plenty of Remington rifles and shotguns over the years and got good use out of most them, but after they got swallowed by the mega corp., they lost their direction and a bunch of customers to boot.:(

I'd still love a Rem. Model 7 in .35 Remington, but I sure ain't gonna get on a 2yr. waiting list and pay up to
3k fer it.

First thought when I saw the Baikal Remington was WTF ?

Grizz

My amigo got one of these in 7.62x39 and scoped it up with a Pilad 4x, and the bugger shot quite well. Turns out, these Baikals had Steyr barrels on them and are of good quality. The action opening lever on these buggers sure takes a hefty squeeze to operate though. Triggers ain't too bad either.:)
