.375 Ruger....

Apparently the Howa 375 Ruger is selling well in Africa, along with the Ruger rifles. Seems funny that most if the African hunters are leaning towards to Ruger "Alaskan" model over the "African " too. :)

Or whatever Ruger is calling their short barrel stainless models these days ;)

Lots of those guys are fitting suppressors into their rifles for culling work too. Too bad we can't do that here ! :)

Hmmm, interesting statement. A quick search in the hunting rifle EE for used rifles shows two .375 Rugers for sale and nine .375 H&H's, so what is being dumped here? Looks like the H&H is on it's way out!

Sounds like people are dumping their H&H's in great quantity. Probably to trade them in for rifles chambered in the superior .375 Ruger cartridge.

Own a Sako Hunter in 375 H+H as well as a Savage 116 SS Alaska Brush Hunter in 375 Ruger.
Love both guns and both calibers.
The Savage is the only 375 magnum I would carry in the bush all day long. It only weighs 7.6 pounds.

So that's the reason why it's hard to find a Yugo in the Auto Trader yet the dang Ford Mustangs are everywhere. Thanks for the insight! :D

Since Ruger dropped the Alaskan model my interest dropped. It was a really neat off the shelf package. It would be great if a site sponsor could get Zastava to do a run of there Stainless / Synthetic rifles chambered in .375 Ruger. I would probably get one.....

Enlightening posts there 444 and JP

This 375 for the working man thing that was partially behind the 375 Ruger has been a big part of its success, a grand or a lil more for a nice rifle so chambered, hell I almost picked up a Savage on sale around the new years for less than 6 bills, just because. I'd like to see some more entry level or budget conscious rifles chamber it. .. a Ruger American or Marlin X would be a great budget 375 rifle or snowmobile/truck gun :)
