The nice thing about the stampings on both the Breda and Beretta receivers is that they are quite deep in relation to those on the US produced receivers so there is little chance of them being eroded by sand blasting. I had a very troublesome Breda receiver that I re-parkerized about 10 yrs ago. It had a couple of spots which simply wouldn't accept the parkerizing properly, even after proper de-greasing/de-oiling and two blasting and Parkerizing attempts. I concluded that it must have been due to some deeply imbedded oils, so I boiled the receiver in a lye solution before blasting and Parkerizing for a 3rd time. That worked.
