To the Norinco bashers - Go to Norinco's site. They are quite the company. Even have a heavy weapons mfg division. Their stuff isn't junk, they just have cheap labour.
They are the military arms to several countries. Sure, the fit and finish isn't HK quality. Look at the AK-47. No-one will argue the AK's effectiveness. And it was the first 'cheap and ugly' firearm. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
If they could make a .50 bolt action affordable to those of us on a mortgage/family/bills budget - say $1500, I'd have to save my sheckles and get one.
Expensive ammo, hell. My daily driver gets 14MPG on a good day @1.249 litre. You learn to scrimp here to play there.
As for the finish. The Harley guys have a good saying, "Chrome won't get you home". Meaning, if it works well, it doesn't have to be pretty.
