I've found the Tavor quite accurate, I just found that trigger made it difficult to make me accurate with it. With training, I'm sure it would feel normal, but going from one gun to the Tavor is extreme.
Price to price, barrel length to barrel length, and my buddy has one now and hes had 2 failures to eject in 300 rounds running ae 55gr 223. 100 yards he is lucky to get 5 inch groups and the trigger is mushy and gritty. Dust cover is meant for when you are in a dirty environment on the ground to protect bcg and forward assist can be very helpfull when inserting a dirty magazine.

Good thread Camero.
We can only test/compare with what we have, and share the results. When you extend yourself on CGN, well....no good deed goes unpunished!
I'll be reading, thanks!

I'm a little disappointed in my tavor so far with 55 gr bullets. Maybe I'm expecting too much but for the price I was at least "hoping for better. And yes I can shoot I have no problem grouping under an inch at 100 if the rifle is capable, however my tavor is not capable (at least with 55) are you guys getting better results with higher weights?
I just like the availability of 55gr vs others
1. See above.
2. Then he needs to learn to shoot and try different ammo
3. Have you ever even shot an AR? Call of Duty doesn't count. Dust cover doesn't do #### once the gun has been fired as it just hangs down till closed, Tavor protects anytime the bolt is closed. Oh? You use a lot of dirty magazines do you? Does your .
Dust cover gets closed when doing a run and gun thru mud , forward assist is when the mags get wet or sandy and a round has a hard time chambering. I run my ar with everything and shoots everything, and its half the price of a tavor , well with mods its more but the bcg is stock. Call of duty lol i used to love that game 10 years ago lol id10t.

Thanks GDog.
Like I said, this will be a proper comparison of 2 rifles designed for the same purpose. Comparing things based solely on price or barrel length is pointless.
For the next test I'll take an Uzi, put a 20" barrel on it, and compare it to a Rem 700 with a 20" barrel. Of course, I'll have to spend as much on the 700 as the Uzi to make it fair, then see which is more accurate and will do better groups...............
Then it'll be a high end over/under shotgun vs a single shot 50 cal with the same barrel length and price of course. This could be fun. Lol

Your hornady 55gr result out of that tavor is consistent with mine, with a hot barrel that's very good
