i was going to pull the CC out and order them when Zahal got them in the first time and they told me to cancel my order until further notice has been posted about these being allowed in the country. A few others got the same thing as me from Zahal

There has been some talk around IPSC about changing some power factors around or introducing a new 7.62x39-friendly division in 2015.. If that happens, I'm SO getting my grubby hands on a vz58 
(assuming we get the occasional rifle match one fine day).

The only firearms that allowed 10 round mags are pistols. The only reason AR's can have 10 rounds is when they use a pistol mag. Any semi auto center fire rifle is restricted to 5 rounds.

Fail. It has nothing to do with restricted class firearms. They can be used in anything they happen to fit in. Anywhere. Just not for hunting.
Vz58 pistol mags are straight prohibited in canada as there are no vz58 pistols as of yet, only registered rifles.
TVPP has imported a pistol which was classed and registered as a rifle. He is going through the process of having it examined at the lab to verify that it is in fact a pistol and not a rifle as classified currently. Once it is properly reclassed, vz58's will be considered "readily available" and as such, vz58 pistol mags will be legal.
That's the plan anyways.

How dose a firearm become reclassifyed as a pistol? If you had a short barreled VZ58 with out a stock, wouldn't that become a pistol?

That was the RCMP 's stand when they declared Dlask's 8.5 inch shotgun a pistol with only pistol grip on it ( same receiver ) . I have an email from them . I asked them to reclassify my VZ 58 to handgun so I could pull my stock off . Nothing heard . They obviously don't follow their own guidelines . There is also a pistol version VZ 58 in their possession right now from the US . Their waffling on issuing an FRT is apparently an attempt to stall importation for social engineering purposes .
