Jamming norinco cq 14.5

I know you guys are smarter then me that's why I am not going to use gas rings anymore. I think I might leave out the selector switch too. it really does nothing but add more weight and I will stop cleaning it. I figure its only good for 10,000 rounds so why clean it every time I take it home after using it.
I'm glad we have good gunsmiths like you guys here. other wise we would actually have to follow the instructions when we build a gun.

I mentioned that to him already and was told to read a book. :jerkit:

It's adorable that you made snide comments at people and now that you've been proven wrong, you're cranky about it.

Gas rings serve a purpose. It's silly to assume one would not use three gas rings in decent condition. One just doesn't have to worry about the gaps lining up.

Do people really clean their selectors? Is that a thing?

No what's the point of cleaning anything? I don't think you need to clean or oil an AR even . people on the internet told me you don't have to. your gun will still work just fine for years even!

Take your bolt out of the carrier. I was getting metal filings in mine and it was keeping the firing pin from passing freely. I ended up changing the bolt with a dpms. There is a youtube video out death of a cqa that details the same problem that I had. However the guy thought the filings were coming from his barrel.

Keep reading your books. You'll be fine. Just try to stop advising others.
