If the APRA is not the DCRA affiliate in Alberta.......what are they?

It is too bad people are p!ssing away over 100 years of service rifle history in Calgary and southern alberta....

Service Rifle existed before the Homestead ranges, I am sure it can thrive elsewhere if only someone would pick up the gauntlet and run with it.
If that is the case why were ~70 members kicked to the curb? The APRA's actions (and members inaction) facilitated the opposite of your objectives.
SR was existing just fine on the 900m range at Homestead...
You sure are tenacious! I will give you that! You would rather talk about the past and point fingers and assign blame to everyone except yourself, than get your discipline back up and running.
The reason there is no service rifle at the APRA is quite simple:
No pay = no insurance = no play. It doesn't get any simpler than that.
I know you will say you offered to pay, and you complied, and you produced paper trails, the APRA is worse, certain people have it in for you, etc etc. and you did all these great things and big bad APRA screwed service rifle. 800 APRA members say otherwise, as witnessed with not one objection at the AGM to removing CSRA. Suffice to say any user group or Steward that fails to meet even the most basic of functions such as maintaining a membership roster and payments to the landlord will be removed. I would expect no less for the other user groups or Stewards if they went down that same path.

I thought you guys were interested in getting something going but I can see now I was very wrong ,all you are interested in is going on a rant , all I can say is good luck with your discipline and I can only hope at some point you can get going in a positive direction.I'm not the face of Service Rifle here or anywhere else.
I'm offering no hostility to anyone; simply exposing the APRA for what it is.
'Volunteers donating thousands of hours'...destroying a discipline and denying it's existence within it's parent club....
I too volunteered countless hours, material and money to the APRA and it's causes. Look where it got me....
'Trying to destroy what others have built'....aside from venting frustration directed at the APRA on this forum, I haven't so much as lodged a complaint against the APRA or it's directors or it's membership - despite their actions.
If you don't like me pointing out the hard facts of the matter, don't enter into a discussion about service rifle and try to mislead the viewers....![]()

So, for the APRA boosters.....
Why can I not get an APRA membership, without having to get a range membership to Homestead (look at my location)....why should I have to pay a $100 fee to a range that I won't shoot at, except if I am at a match, paying match fees.... Finally, why do I need to join a discipline that I'm not active in.....?????
It's so that guys like you subsidize them and their shooting interests.
I am sure if you ask Bill W (Scout) he will let you know as to the location or disposition of the CSRA trophies and Flag . After all he was on the APRA executive committee
Gotta pay for bench rest & f class trophies somehow I guess.
