Robarms XCR FAQ post

I've ordered an XCR-L 223 and was wondering what the best rate of twist is 1in9 ,1in8, 1in7 ? I may still have time to choose. I use 55 g because that's all that's available here, but will start reloading in the future. Mostly used for plinking and target shooting.

Hey Brian, there's not much you can't do with 1:9, but...
1:9 will shoot about any commercial ammo. If you start loading and want to shoot 70, 75, 77's etc, or even 80gr VLDs, 1:8 will allow. You'll be able to shoot any bullet, up to ~80gr.
1:7 will shoot any .224 bullet but your mag will limit what you can shoot. You can't get enough powder under a 90gr, and still fit the mag, without a drastic loss of performance.

My opinion, the best of all world would be 1:8

Someone will correct my opinion shortly... ;)

Ok sounds good,CR 5 said the same ... Thanks.... Brian

I don't care for the fast stock either, except as a unique coat hanger, hanging in my gun room.

The "old tube stock" or skeleton stock, I like the look of, but there's no adjustment. You get what you get, one size fits all.

Dlask has an adapter, to use any AR style stock on the XCR.
You'll need the adapter, a tube and nut, and stock of choice. It'll take all of 10 minutes to swap over. All pieces can be bought from Wolverine, or gun store of choice.

Anybody has a copy of the owner's manual for the XCR?

I can only find the armorer's manual but not the owner's manual.

If someone has a copy wouldn't mind to share and if you know where I can find a copy please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

Okay guys found the Armorer's manual as well as Owner's manual (Credit to TheZreturns)

Anybody looking for the manual can download a copy yourself link as below:

Howdy guys!

It is starting to look like I have been scammed on the used XCR........

I ordered a new one from Wolverine last week and it got here today.
I didn't necessarily want "Canadian Camo" but I did want a heavy barrel and that is the color they had in stock.

Can't wait to get it out and run a few rounds thru it !! :)
Hopefully Thursday if I can get caught up at work......

Question .... I want to put a grip on the bottom but I can't figure out for sure what rails I need for the key mod.
Wolverine has some "key mod rail sections" ... these ones http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/details/16129/Midwest-Industries-Key-Mod-Rail-Section-375.aspx
Is that what I need? What about something longer?

Thanks

What happened?

How did you get scammed?

I "bought" it from a guy on Alberta Outdoorsmen, it was in the buy / sell section.
The guy has about 50 posts BUT he has 25 feedback score all 100% for buy / sell.
Talked to him, e-mailed him, PM him, he sent me pictures including one showing the serial number.
All seemed cool, really cool.
I EMT him the money May 5 and he dropped off the face of the earth LOL.
He has not logged back into AO since that date.
He either dropped dead or I got taken, IDK.

I'm going through the exact same thing on this site. My guy collected the EMT on July 22nd and hasn't been back since. He joined CGN in 2005, has 34 feedback 100% and hasn't logged on since the day he marked the item I paid for as sold.

I believe my guy is here too (same user name) with 116 feedback 100% but I gotta do some more digging.
I will bring it to a mods attention if I can findout it is the same guy.

My bank said they could find where the money went but I would have to file a police report first ......

Good luck to you
