Para Ordnance Black Ops Recon

I so want a para double stack in 9mm. Perhaps a .40 would do and I could convert it. Who has the best selection in Canada ? Has to be double stack frame.

Straight from gravel, double stack para 9mm won't be in canada till 2015 sometime as para hasn't produced 10 round mags for them yet and won't pin the existing mags.

I'm not a newb when it comes to researching and reading about firearms, but I am newb when it comes to actually handling and firing firearms. Can anyone recommend a quality 1911 which has an under barrel rail, night sights and an ambidextrous thumb safety? And is known for eating any kind of ammo you feed it?

sorry if these are annoying questions or things that have been discussed at length already in this forum...

We call that 1911 model a "Glock"... Numerous digit variations, my personal preference is the "19"... ;)

I guess I can wait. Hopefully early 2015. Lots of .38 super mags out there so I wonder if they would work . That Pro Custom is so so sweet. I have had and have several Para's and ALL have been totally reliable and well built.

I have the gi expert entry level gun with hogue grips and a few drop in replacements from Dlask and others, I really lucked out mine shoots great and is very accurate. My friend bought one at the same time, his was a complete P.O.S from what I understand trying to get it fixed has been a real problem. I like mine I have been lucky so far. If I buy another one it won't be a para don't want to play the lottery again ill buy a DLASK,Colt, ETC.

If para improves their customer service in Canada I would then consider another but it really isn't very good. If rugger and others do good in Canada Para can too if it wants

I have a pair of made in Canada Para 45s. A 12 and a 14. Both are 100% reliable and better than average accuracy.

I hope they get their quality issues sorted out because the platform can be good.

I have a Para Black OPS, I love it its very accurate nice to shoot no complaints. Para Warranty Rocks (even from south of the border). I THINK they have the slide available now with adjustable sights
